there are endless ways to tell a story, and we perpetually consume stories every day.
visual or written, ashley seeks to explore the most cutting edge perspectives, answering the question: how can your story stand out from the noise?
she is currently in her third year of a bachelor of commerce degree at the university of british columbia, specializing in marketing with a concentration in sustainability and social impact, and a minor in law and society. she has also studied both fashion communication and fashion marketing at central saint martins for a study abroad programme.
in her creative work, ashley explores surrealism with an emphasis on colour, mood, and setting. with roots in art and graphic design, her imagery aims to make you feel simultaneously unsettled and at ease. as a stylist, she focuses on sustainability and forming connections with local up-and-coming designers through merging their brand identity with her creative vision.
she has extensive experience in marketing as well as leadership through student extracurriculars and professional internships in the fashion sphere. ashley is especially captivated by the world of editorial publication, having co-founded her own arts and culture magazine and working as a graphic design editor for a student-run magazine at her university. she is also a lead curator for her on-campus thrift store, responsible for managing a team of curators, planning photoshoots and runway shows, and casting models.
yet another creative outlet is her work as a signed model in both canada and the united kingdom. she feels empowered by using her emotion, expression, and identity to convey stories for others, as a sort of performance. through this experience, she has a unique edge and understanding of the workings of the fashion industry.
